Privacy Policy

EdgeCircle helps adults discover local sports partners, organize activities, share posts, and communicate safely. This policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

We collect account and profile information such as your email address, display name, profile photo, sports, skill levels, city, bio, and visibility choices. We also process activities, participation requests, posts, comments, direct and group messages, uploaded photos or videos, reports, blocks, moderation records, notification preferences, and support requests that you create through EdgeCircle.

When you use the service, we may receive device and app version information, language, permission choices, approximate location when you choose to share it, and diagnostic information needed to secure and operate the service.

2. How we use information

• Provide accounts, profiles, activity discovery, participation, messaging, media sharing, and notifications.
• Personalize sport and city results according to your choices.
• Detect spam, unsafe content, fraud, abuse, and violations of the Community Rules.
• Review reports, enforce blocks and moderation decisions, and protect members at real-world meetups.
• Operate purchases of Energy and delivery of digital gifts, including transaction history and support.
• Maintain reliability, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing and visibility

Your profile visibility settings determine who can see profile details. Activities and public posts may be visible to other members. Messages are available to their participants. We may share information with infrastructure, storage, moderation, analytics, payment, and customer-support providers only as needed to operate EdgeCircle. Store operators process purchases under their own terms. We do not sell personal information.

4. Photos, camera, location, and notifications

Camera and photo access are used only when you choose media to publish, message, or attach to a report. Location access is used only for features you enable, such as nearby activity discovery. Notification permission is used for activity, message, moderation, and purchase updates you select. You can change permissions in device settings and adjust related preferences inside EdgeCircle.

5. Safety, reports, and blocking

Reports may include the reported content, account identifiers, your selected reason, and optional evidence. Automated triage and authorized reviewers may process this information to investigate and enforce the Community Rules. Blocking is directional: content and messages from a blocked account are suppressed for the person who blocked it, and suppressed activity is not replayed after unblocking.

6. Purchases and digital gifts

EdgeCircle records Energy balances, product identifiers, purchase results, receipts, transaction history, and gift delivery state. Payment credentials are handled by the relevant app store and are not provided to EdgeCircle. Energy and gifts are digital items with no cash value and cannot be transferred outside the service.

7. Retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes described here. Some safety, transaction, and legal records may be retained longer where required to protect members, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or comply with law. We apply access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit profile information, change visibility and city-use preferences, manage notifications and permissions, block or unblock members, and delete your account from Settings. You may also request access to or deletion of your information. Account deletion removes or de-identifies account content subject to necessary safety, transaction, dispute, and legal retention.

9. Adults only

EdgeCircle is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information.

10. International processing and updates

Information may be processed in countries where EdgeCircle or its providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards. We may update this policy as the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated in the app and the effective date above will be revised.
